Four Tet is the alias of Kieran Hebden, a British musician, DJ, producer who works with the genre of post-rock, electronic, indie rock and jazz, however, most of his Hebden’s music can be described as experimental. 

Looking at his work, Four Tet has shown an experimental and improvisational style in his work, despite drawing inspiration from jazz, hip hop, indie rock electronica and folk music. His work has been described as, ‘experimental yet highly accessible recordings, which blend organic and electronic sounds, have gained a widespread acclaim from critics and fans of electronic music and indie rock,’ by Paul Simpson, an English musician. Four Tet has mentioned Rodney Jerkins and Timbaland, hip hop producers as influencers to his work.

Habden’s target audience seems to be of a younger demographic, evidence by Four Tet’s use of technology to promote his music through live streams and social media. There also seems to be an artistic or creative interests by posting photographs and visual displays of his concerts on his social media.

Sixteen Oceans, is the tenth studio album by Four Tet, on 13 March 2020. On one of the tracks, ‘Baby’, Ellie Goulding featured her vocals in the song.
